Thank you both, Magnus and Small-Luxury-World...

I appreciate your thoughts.. and Oliver, I believe you responded to one of my posts a couple of months ago at Timezone, and posted a gorgeous picture of your wife's Flyback Chrono.

To answer the questions... Magnus, I actually will be keeping my Breitling as sort of my sport watch (i.e. the one I'll wear when I don't want to risk injury to the BP!) However, it is actually a fairly masculine looking piece, so I think if anything the BP will be the dressier, more feminine of the two. I should mention that I am a pretty basic-black, classic and no-pink sort of girl in style. I go for clean lines and basic colors, and I fell in love a long time ago with the black military dial. I have one watch with a white dial, and that's a Tank Francaise (going on the block to help justify the BP purchase), but mostly I prefer black dials. So while I really like your logic about scenarios A & B, I'll probably just end up with a sporty black dial watch and a more elegant and rare sporty black dial watch.

Oliver, thank you for the picture comparing the FC and the FF sizes. I actually did manage to track down one men's size Flyback Chrono in my area today, and tried it on. I am torn, because I love the sort of oversized look of a man's watch, but I do think it was just a tad too large for my wrist. I also would like to perhaps purchase a leather deployant strap at some point for variety, and I'm guessing a BP leather band for the men's size would be way too large to fit my wrist. So I'm thinking I'll go with the women's size.

What I really need is to find a boyfriend/husband who is a watch enthusiast with great taste and kind enough to let me wear his timepieces, like your very fortunate respective girlfriend and wife have. What a fun (if expensive) passion to share!

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments. I'll keep you posted on whether I pull the trigger this week (and then it will likely be a month or two to wait....)

All the best,

Christina

New BP owner, soon... need advice.
