thank you for the visit !
I had the chance in september 2000 to visit the farmhouse. That was an amazing and unforgatable experience.
I had decide to go in the "Vallée de Joux" like a pelerinage, as a watch addict must do one time in his life... I was 24...
That was not easy to found the Blancpain's manufacture, I asked twice my way ! When I arrived in front of the small house, I hesited to knock on the door but finally done it. A woman, around 55 years old with a white blouse open the door. I said that I was in the vallée for a few days and asked if I could integrate a group for a visit. The woman answered that if I had 30 minutes now, she will guide me !
That was stunning, she shows and explains to me all the diferents depatements and ateliers for finishing under the roof in the 1735 den. I had to see 3 of them in the same time, one in assembling, one in repairing and a finished one. To talk with the master watchmaker was a real pleasure.
I finished my visit with a great conversation with the production manager who explained to me that it was not very simple to work in an old place and that a big renovation will not be to much ! He was heard for good...
I will try to be back in Le Brassus next year for visiting the new place !
Sunny regards, Yann.
