Straps, Bracelets, Etc.

I sold my last BlancpaiN in 2004, it was a 2185F 38mm steel, black-dial flyback with a very comfortable pliant rubber strap. I wore it daily for 2 years in the face of a modest size collection. I heard that BP opened a boutique in NYC, so I called and was back in the BP collectors world (the team in NYC are knowledgable, nice and market very well), beginning with the upgrade to my trusty 2185, the 2885 (I THINK I am getting all these numbers right, it is late)now in a better size, 40mm. But no pliant rubber strap (I live in Florida, everything needs to be water resistent). Hard rubber 'integrated strap' looks nice, never works properly if you have a small wrist...the metal inside the strap at the lug end 'splays' it out like an AP ROO (had one, didn't fit, sold it too, now AP makes a short rubber strap, easy to get). "Can I get the old strap type but to fit the 40mm" I asked? That was in October 2007. Kevin, Nicole & Jaclyn have tried to satisfy me...alligator, croc, leather...etc. But no soft rubber strap NOR the SHORT integrated rubber strap...for which I would like to try the latest deployment buckle, which is fabulous (I haven't seen any postings about this...Kevin, please provide a nice close-up for everyone when you have a moment). So now the reason for my posting...after acquiring a new 50 Fathoms...i tried the unheard of...strapped the 'sailcloth' to my 2885...wow! Fabulous. I would STILL like the rubber strap and new deploment buckle, but this, dear BP aficianados, is a killer look and is comfortable AND is, yes, made for Florida. BP senior management...PLEASE make getting straps easier...the watches are great but swapping out straps creates an entirely new world for us. It is way too difficult to get these things and since I am buying direct from the AD, I think we deserve a potpourri of strap options...in under 6 months. I am totally satisfied with this new look (the buckle is from Tourneau, $75) but I sure would like an OEM BP buckle, can't seem to get any extra FF buckles, either. MB, can you help? I posted 1 picture, i will post more since I can't figure out how to post more than one on this website per posting. Hope you all like it (and now...there will be a rush on the sailcloth straps! SO send some out!). Enjoy.
