Your fellow connoisseurs have correctly identified the model as a Ref. 0072

which is (was) the slimmest automatic Blancpain in production.

Since the white balance of your photo is slightly (?) off, I cannot tell whether its steel or some gold variation. In any case, its not longer in production.

The base movement, the Cal. 71 (without seconds hand) or 72 (with the seconds hand between 4 and 5 o'clock) is a very rare and special one. As you can see on the pic below (of a Ref. 0071), the automatic rotor is not placed at the center of the movement, but a bit off. Also, the mainspring barrel is open, thus a view on the spring gives you a kind of a 'power reserve indication'.

I have to say I like it a lot. Its a fine movement with some romantic idiosyncrasies.

Best,
Magnus
