BLANCPAIN BASEL NEWS 3: Blancpain presents the 'Speed Command'!

Dear All:

this one came not entirely as a surprise and clearly is an add-on to the highly successful 50 Fathoms collection:

The Blancpain Speed Command

Offering refreshing (and for a Blancpain rather unusual) colours and case materials like DLC (diamond-like carbon, extremely scratch resistant) and carbon dials, it represents a modernist approach to incorporate 'above-sea' sports themes next to the divers line. Everything else being equal to the 50 Fathoms, the series is powered by the tried and tested Cal. 185F column-wheel Flyback movement, in this case visible through a glass back:

The watch has much to offer for the eyes, which cannot stop to marvel on the various structures, shapes and surfaces:

For the astute Blancpain connoisseur, the new hands are a true departure from the classic Blancpain line, and are a true homage to supercars. This connection is reinforced by - what else? - the tachymetre scale enabling to measure you speed precisely:

If orange is not exactly your taste, Blancpain has an alternative: the yellow Speed Command:

Please note: The watches presented here are still prototypes. Details might change until serial production. One indication is the different design of the bezel seen in this two specimens.

Cheers,
Magnus
