and pretty much every watch manufacturer closes down (or nearly). Other than that, you cannot do any thing wrong.

The Vallée de Jouxy has much to offer for watch and nature lovers alike. You can follow the 'watchmaking route' from Geneva up to Basel, and you'll pass by almost the entire watchmaking world between Le Brassus and Ste-Croix (e.g. Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Jaeger Le Coultre, and Breguet).

See the website of the 'watchvalley':

In Le Brassus, make sure you'll take a tour through the Blancpain 'farmhouse' (see pic below). I'd suggest to arrange with the customer service.

For non-watchlovers, the area is quite picturesque with a most beautiful landscape around the Lac de Joux (Lake Joux). Mountainbiking, hiking, and also introduction into cheesemaking are offered amongst other leisure activities. Take a look here:

You want to stay in the Hotel des Horlogers (watchmaker hotel), a fine hotel recently renovated and decorated with old watchmaking tools in cooperation with Audemars Piguet (I can only recommend it, I stayed there with great pleasure!):

Good luck and have a nice time!
