Repair quote and notes for women's Villeret

Magnus,

Below is the message I received from Tourneau.
------------------------------------------------

Here is the estimate to repair your BlancPain timepiece.

Necessary items are required to fix the issues listed on your repair receipt.

Necessary Items:
Crown $54.00 Necessary
Stem & Crown $30.37 Necessary
Tube $0.00 Necessary
Water Test $0.00 Necessary
Gasket $0.00 Necessary
Complete Service $687.50 Necessary
Total Necessary Items:$771.87

Total Cost of Service:$771.87*

*Applicable sales tax and shipping costs are not included.

A complete service includes overhaul, lubrication, timing adjustment, and water resistant test where applicable.
-------------------------------------------------

I am a novice. I was told that the gaskets need replacing. Is this a common replacement item? Likewise, crown and stem were replaced during last overhaul 4 years ago. Again, watch is never in a harsh or questionable environment. Is it unusual that they need to be replaced so soon? Lastly, following the first overhaul (2005), I was able to keep turning the winder "indefinitely" to wind the watch (which I didn't do, of course). That was not true before that overhaul. Is this also unusual, and could it play a part in the problem I'm having now (watch running extremely slowly)? Curiously, because women's timepieces have smaller parts, are repair costs often higher? Sorry to bother you with these questions but I have no one else to ask. Thank you in advance.

Shelley
