Pending Villeret repair, more questions

Thank you, Magnus. Your reply regarding service in the U.S. is reassuring. My watch is a woman's ultra-slim with a simple date window. I understand your comments about smaller and slimmer movements being more delicate. My watch was not worn daily, but regularly with the knowledge that the movement needs to be lubricated even when unworn. My concern is the "sudden" loss of accuracy. Is that common? Last week, it lost 30 minutes in 3 hours. Yesterday, it lost 10 minutes in 4 hours.

Also, do you have an opinion about winding boxes? My husband has happily used them for years. However, I read that they can cause the automatic winding mechanism to wear down prematurely. We do live in an imperfect world. Still what is your personal recommendation?

If I should choose to send the watch to Europe, could you please supply me the mailing address and suggest the best means (to avoid problems with theft, customs, unnecessary delays, etc.)

Thanks again.
