VILLERET - Need info and assistance

I live in the U.S. Purchased a Villeret around 2000 in Germany. First servicing was handled by Service Center (New Jersey) in 2005. They said it needed an overhaul plus new winding stem. Total about US$700. The watch receives light use and I do NOT work around lots of powder, dust, dirt, humidity, vibration, magnetic fields, etc.

Suddenly this month, the watch started losing a lot of time. 5 minutes one day, 20 minutes the next day, completely stopped 2 days afterwards. I'm disappointed that the watch requires servicing after such light use but, more importantly, I want to know more about American "servicing" of Blancpain. Does the Swatch Service Center, in fact, automatically return all Blancpains to Europe for overhauls (due to lack of expertise in the U.S.)? That is, is New Jersey simply a shipping center for Blancpain in the U.S.? I am not happy with answers I get here to my questions. My local authorized Blancpain dealer is Tourneau and I have not been happy with them, and the Blancpain boutique in New York (the only one in the U.S.) simply refers me to the Swatch Service Center in New Jersey where the attitude is "we can do everything". The fact that my watch requires service so "soon" and my phone discussions with various people does not give me much confidence. Frankly, I would prefer that the watch be sent to Europe if that's where it will receive the most competent care. Can anyone provide me with information? I want to get my watch serviced as soon as possible so your suggestions are welcome. I am new to this forum: Can somebody suggest who I can write to who can provide some real assistance? (Blancpain is not represented nearly as well here as in Europe.) Thank you! Shelley
