Misha, this series was definitely ahead its time...

as you saw only some five years or so later the massive 'fusion' of different materials in one watch.

I doubt we will be able to get detailed information on the production run (as Blancpain does not disclose such info), but I would not conclude from the serial number any production count as

- Blancpain does not strictly number in sequence (some dealer for example request special number (to avoid 'unlucky' ones) for example)
- Some number may thus only be shipped to certain locations and you simply may have not seen them

as a rule of thumb, however, the production numbers are always equal or lower then the highest serial number.
